PMS, as we are commonly known, stands for PhiloMedicaScientia which means "Love for medical science" in Latin. It is the pioneer and the first accredited all female organization in the PLM- College of Medicine. Founded in 1989, PMS started with a group of female medical aspirants who shared a common passion to achieve academic excellence and to dedicate themselves in the service of their fellowmen through competent healthcare.
PMS aims to instill among its members the values of punctuality and patience, hard work and humility, leadership and respect.
At present, its members consist of medical students, clerks, interns, residents and consultants from the
various hospitals all over the country. PMS continues its service by engaging in medical and surgical missions as well as other charitable events that will benefit the common good.
